Abstract

This selective bibliography, prepared for the Jun 1993 ALCTS CCS preconference on research in cataloging and classification, is intended for the librarian with little or no experience conducting research. Its aim is to acquaint the librarian with 'a few good books' (and one article) on research methods and statistics; to offer selections 'from the literature' that suggest potentially fruitful areas for research in cataloging and classification; and to assist the librarian in successfully communicating his or her findings to the library community
