Abstract
Reports on a discussion of the impact of electronic services on reference staffing held at the annual conference of the Special Libraries Association, Atlanta, USA. The discussion was from the perspectives of publishers, and public service specialists. Examines the benefits of CD-ROM products, and the continuing role of paper. Describes the pressures felt by reference staff caused by the expansion of electronic resources, possible solutions and the changing nature of reference work
