Abstract

The results of a study of misfiled titles beginning with articles in the nominative case in European languages are listed and discussed. The quantity of such errors was found to be high, even in a well maintained database. The authors list the articles involved and their ranking as a percentage ot the total. The prblem is discussed and possible solutions presented
