Abstract

Discusses the IBM Digital Library. IBM are working in conjunction with the British Multimedia Archive and Retrieval System (MARS) division of EMI to launch a pioneering music service for film, television, video and advertising. Considers the IBM Digital Library processes of creation and capture; storage and management; search and access; information distribution; and rights management including encryption and metering and billing. With the IBM Digital Library, content owners now have the keys to their own data libraries
