Abstract

Reviews some of the research and development, currently undertaken in the USA, to establish the electronic publishing of periodicals. Concludes, with regret, that the prices of academic periodicals will probably not fall as a result of their conversion to electronic form, but is still optimistic about the eventual future outlook
