Abstract

The information explosion on the one hand, and the adoption of legislation concerning records management on the other, have increased the visibility of archivists in the realm of records management and compelled them to consider standardization of classification practices. Discusses the development of various approaches by Quebec archivists and examines different classification schemes for archival records developed over the past 10 years
