Abstract

1962-65 was a period of planning and experiment after the German Librarians Conference in Darmstadt, concerned with developing bibliographic data, automatic soting symbols and international cooperation. Between 1966-69, several individual projects were completed, including analysis of interloans at Heidelberg University Library and loans automation at Karlsruhe Technische Hochschule. In 1969 cooperation began towards the networking of computerizes library activities
