Abstract

PAIS's response to the article: 'Can I find it on PAIS'(see Database 13 (6) Dec. 90, 37-42), which compared the differences in searching the DIALOG and CD-ROM versions of the data base. One source of the discrepencies in the number of data records retrieval is rooted in the fact that the CD-ROM is, effectively, reloaded at each updating and so contains all organic changes to the file, whereas the DIALOG file is reloaded less frequently. In 1991 all files will be congruent as far as subject headings are concerned. Presents their criticisms of the paper
