Abstract

Ein spezieller Aspekt von Kommunikationsdesign ist die Produktion von Zeichen, welche die Orientierung im Raum erleichtern. Ausgangspunkt dieser Arbeit ist die semiotische Analyse fest verorteter Zeichen im realen Raum, etwa Wegmarkierungen, Ortsschilder, Wegweiser und Panoramatafeln. Es wird geprüft, inwieweit funktional ähnliche Zeichen in virtuellen Räumen nützlich sind, etwa in Texten und in Benutzeroberflächen für Hypertext und das WWW
