Abstract

After a historical description of war leaflets, especially during World War 1 and 2, a simple system to record their data is offered. This comprises: denominations of the special event; refernce to the official provenance of the orderer; designation of the addressee; and characterization of the individual series (as the alternative 'with/without code sign' proves to be insufficient). Following a discussion or related problems, such as allied leaflets between 1939 and 1945, both with genuine and forged marks, concludes on a practical note
