Abstract

Autoren, Verleger, Buchhändler, die Verwertungsgesellschaften und die Bibliothekare haben in den letzten Jahrzehnten den Schutz des geistigen Eigentums und das Recht der Öffentlichkeit auf ungehinderten Zugang zu Wissen und Information als gemeinsame Aufgabe erkannt und verteidigt. Die elektronischen Medien, Online- und Offline-Datentransfer, die neuen Kombinationen des Publizierens, Distributierens und Rezipierens von Wissen und Information stellen sie nun vor die Aufgabe, eine neue Balance der speziellen Interessen jedes Partners zu finden. Die BDB legt in dieser Denkschrift die Aufgaben- und Interessenlage des deutschen Bibliothekswesen vor. Erarbeitet wurde sie von Experten aus der Rechtskommission des Deutschen Bibliotheksinstituts
