Abstract

Das Internet wird breite Lebensbereiche verändern, und doch wird vieles voraussichtlich anders verlaufen, als man es sich heute vorstellt. So das Resümee der Herbsttagung 1996 des Verbundes Sozialwissenschaftliche Technikforschung, die sich mit Aspekten der Entwicklung neuer Kommunikations- und Datennetze befaßt hat. In 3 Schwerpunkten: (1) Netze als elektronische Märkte; (2) Netze als technische Infrastruktur; (3) Soziale Institutionalisierungsprozesse der Netze setzen sich Expertinnen und Experten verschiedener Disziplinen mit den unterschiedlichen Entwicklungsperspektiven neuer Kommunikationsnetze auseinander
