Abstract

Offers advice on ways of planning the transformation of public library resource centress from reliance on collections on printed materials to provision of a mixture of print and CD-ROM databases. Notes that transition can be a source of stress and anxiety for some librarians and media specialists and pays particular attention to the questions, concerns and needs that must be considered: including the thoughtful selection and evaluation of CD-ROMs to help create an integrated collection
