Abstract

Describes the use of a set of CDS/ISIS Pascal programmes for generating an SDI service from CDS/ISIS databases. The module is in use in the library of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. SDI notices can be generated based on simultaneous search outputs from more than one database. Limiting the SDI notices by record entry dates or by range of record numbers is provided for. The production of other outputs, such as lists of profiles, is described. A list of the fields in the Profile database, the worksheet for data entry, indexing parameters, and display and print formats are also given, as well as a data entry field guide to the Profile database
