Abstract

Data, originating in abstractions of realities, and denoting selected aspects, at specific times and places, for particular purposes, are for storage and/or transfer made manifest through representations. Some of the representations also serve as sensualizations (presentations) or vice versa. The use of computers is, however, based on a separation of representation from presentation, necessitating and enabling intentional designs of each, separately or conjointly
