Abstract

Discusses the shortcomings of the DDC in the indexing of African staple crops, namely cassava, cocyam, ginger, Irish potato, sweet potato and yam. These include structural deficiencies of nonanalysis, excessive cross referencing and over synthesis. Suggests amendments to the DDC scheme to counter these shortcomings
