Abstract

Library computerization in the Czech Republic was launched in 1987 with UNESCO's system CDS/ISIS. Currently, the Israeli system ALEPH and the english system TINLIB are being used most often, besides some domestic ones. ALEPH became the framework for the Czech and Slovak Library Information Network (CASLIN). CALIN is the proposed Czech Agricultural Library Information Network, but it has yet to be realized. Library access to the Internet has been available in the Czech Republic since 1992
