Abstract

ISKO 5th International Conference was held in Aus 25-29, Lille, France. The conference opened with a panel who addressed the general theme of the conference: 'Structures and relations in knowledge organization'. Each panelist was given a brief period in which to reflect on issues in one or more of 3 areas falling within the conference theme: (1) the role of hierarchical relationships in knowledge organization; (2) relationships in multilingual, multicultural, and multidisciplinary contexts; and (3) relationships in online retrieval
