"Doch es ist nicht das schiere Quantum allein, die allzu oft schon beklagte 'Informationsflut', sondern die Qualität der Information an sich, die die sich abzeichnende Malaise der 'Wissensgesellschaft' in sich birgt. Denn zur Natur jedweder Information gehört die gänzliche Indifferenz und Anonymität hinsichtlich ihres Adressaten. Sie richtet sich an nichts und niemanden, schon gar nicht an ein 'Ich', das etwas zu wissen, zu erfahren, zu lernen begehrt. Information ist der Rohstoff einer Wissensform ohne Wissenden."
