Abstract
1997 wurde die Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek (EZB) als Kooperationsprojekt vieler Bibliotheken ins Leben gerufen. Elektronische Volltextzeitschriften den Lesern verlags- und anbieterübergreifend zugänglich zu machen, und zwar unabhängig von den jeweiligen lokalen Öffnungszeiten auch vom heimischen PC aus unter einer einheitlichen Oberfläche, ist Ziel des Projektes. Inzwischen bietet die EZB einen strukturierten und bedarfsgerechten Zugang zu rund 8 400 Zeitschriften, und die wachsende Anzahl der Nutzer belegt, dass das Angebot angenommen wird und der Bedarf weiter wächst
