Abstract
Der Bericht zeigt anhand von zwei Beispielen die Nutzung des Verzeichnisses der im deutschen Sprachraum erschienenen Drucke des 17. Jahrhunderts (VD 17) im Rahmen sprachhistorischer Fragestellungen. In beiden geschilderten Fällen können durch die Verwendung des VD 17 auf effiziente, methodisch tragfähige und zugleich bestandsschonende Weise neue sprachhistorische Erkenntnisse gewonnen werden
