Abstract
Bibliothekare müssen mit ihren Mitteln effektiv und bedarfsorientiert im Sinne ihrer Nutzer umgehen. Doch woher wissen sie im Einzelfall, was »bedarfsorientiert« und »im Sinne der Nutzer« ist? Das Konzept der Anwenderpartizipation bietet Möglichkeiten, unmittelbar nutzerorientiert zu arbeiten. In Skandinavien entstanden, findet das Konzept in den USA bereits Anwendung und setzt sich nun langsam auch in Deutschland durch. Der Kunde wird als gleichberechtigter Partner bereits im Entwicklungsprozess eines Produkts (Informationstool, Handout, Inhaltserschließung) einbezogen. Für verschiedene Produkte und Zwecke sind unterschiedliche Methoden entwickelt worden, denen jedoch eines gemeinsam ist: Sie sind einfach umzusetzen und liefern schnelle, aussagekräftige Ergebnisse
