Abstract

Die Deutsche Bibliothek hat einen gesetzlichen Auftrag zur vollständigen Sammlung, Erschließung und dauerhaften Sicherung deutschsprachiger und in Deutschland erschienener Publikationen. Das Gesetz bezieht auch digitale Publikationen ein, sofern sie auf physischen Trägern verbreitet werden. Netzpublikationen werden durch den gesetzlichen Auftrag noch nicht abgedeckt. Nach einer Testphase und Klärung grundlegender Aspekte zur Sammlung und Archivierung von Netzpublikationen in Zusammenarbeit mit Verlegern und dem Börsenverein stellt sich Die Deutsche Bibliothek der Herausforderung, auch für Netzpublikationen Archivbibliothek zu sein. Das Sammelspektrum, die Rahmenbedingungen und das im Herbst 2001 eingeführte Verfahren zur Abgabe von Netzpublikationen werden vorgestellt
