Abstract

Die möglichen Implikationen der Monopolstellung von Microsoft im Bereich Betriebssysteme und Office-Anwendungen beginnen langsam in weiteren Kreisen ein Nachdenken zu verursachen. In diesem Beitrag soll ein einfacher, aber sehr praktikabler Weg aufgezeigt werden, wie man sich ohne großen Aufwand und ohne Kosten von dieser Abhängigkeit frei machen und ein vollständig funktionierendes Computersystem haben kann, wenn von heute auf morgen Microsoft-Produkte ausfallen sollten. Dass es dabei auch noch nette Beigaben gibt, kann als Tüpfelchen auf dem "i" gesehen werden
