Abstract

In diesem Beitrag steht ein Modell im Mittelpunkt das aus den Komponenten Netzwerk, Teleorganisation, Telepräsenz, Telekooperation resultiert. Dabei geht es um das Zusammenwirken von IT-basierten Systemen und Akteuren an dislozierten Orten. Als Ergebnis entstehen virtuelle Realitäten. Häufig steht dabei nur einer dieser Teilbereiche im Mittelpunkt, und die jeweils anderen Aspekte werden nur beiläufig erwähnt. Uns soll es hier vielmehr darum gehen, diese vier Bereiche transparent zu gestalten und ein Verständnis für die damit verbundenen Chancen und Schwachstellen zu vermitteln. Darüber hinaus erfolgt ein kurzer historischer Überblick übereinige Entwicklungsphasen innerhalb der virtuellen Realitäten.
