Abstract

Das Objekt der wissenschaftlichen Auseinandersetzung in dieser Arbeit sind «virtuelle Teams». Virtuelle Teams werden aktuell zum einen in praxisorientierten Beiträgen mit häufig nahezu euphorischem Beiklang als eine durch die revolutionäre Entwicklung und Verbreitung der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik ermöglichte neuartige Form betrieblicher Teamarbeit propagiert. Zum anderen werden sie gegenwärtig auch im Rahmen der wissenschaftlichen Diskussion mit deutlich zunehmender Frequenz thematisiert. Besonders für die Betriebswirtschaftslehre ist diesbezüglich ein Forschungsdefizit festzustellen, und so ist es Ziel dieser Arbeit, zur Fundierung des Konzepts virtueller Teams in diesem Kontext beizutragen.
