Abstract
Den geistigen Arbeitsraum meiner künstlerischen Forschung bezeichne ich als "Offenes Labor" . In unterschiedlichen Arbeitsfeldern untersuche ich Struktur, Ablauf und Merkmale kenntnisgewinnender Prozesse. Mein Hauptinteresse gilt den Ordnungsmustern höherer Hirnfunktionen, die ich als Produkt der Anpassung an die Natur verstehe. Mit meiner "Brille" betrachtet, funktionieren die Natur und die Errungenschaften der Zivilisation als "universeller Text". Eine Form, sei sie nun in Gestalt eines Menschen, eines Bau- oder Kunstwerkes, auch unser Gedächtnis, resultiert aus einer Kette von irreversiblen Ereignissen. Vor jeder Formung liegen einander ablösende, mehrschichtig angelegte Handlungssequenzen, die eigenen Rhythmen unterliegen, zu unterschiedlichen Entscheidungspunkten führen und somit die endgültige Gestalt beeinflussen. jene Prozesse der Formung; die plötzliche Übersicht über das Zusammenspiel unterschiedlichster Einflüsse - idealerweise begleitet vom Spannungsaufund Abbau - sind sehr intensiv erlebbar, wenn es uns nach langem denkerischen Mühen endlich wie der Blitz einschießt, wir von unseren eigenen Denkstrategien überrascht werden. Diese Momente beschreiben vor allem schöpferische Prozesse, aber auch jene, in denen wir uns plötzlich an etwas erinnern oder von einer Pointe zum Lachen verführt werden. Keine Sprachform arbeitet knapper mit dem Moment, in dem es uns wie der Blitz einschießt, als der Witz.
