Abstract

Ovid, Anbieter von Informationslösungen, erleichtert die Recherche in externen und internen Datenbanken. Mit dem Links@Ovid Service, der in das OvidWeb-Gateway integriert ist, haben Bibliothekare medizinischer Büchereien, Klinikärzte und Forscher die ideale Lösung für ihre Suchen. Die Anwendung verlinkt mehr als 100 bibliographische Datenbanken von Ovid mit elektronischen Volltext-Datenbanken. Eine verfeinerte Suche, die nur Volltext-Ergebnisse anzeigt, ist ebenso möglich - egal, ob es sich dabei um Titel von Verlagen oder von ContentAggregatoren handelt. Links@Ovid verlinkt auch lokale Print-Ressourcen über die Online-Bestandskataloge von Bibliotheken oder Dokumentenlieferdiensten. Die Vorteile der Ovid Lösungen für Informationsmanager liegen aufder Hand: Neben umfangreichen Ressourcen können sie ihren Arbeitsablauf wesentlich effizienter gestalten und unterbrechungsfreier arbeiten. Wie der Ovid LinkSolver filtert Links@Ovid Volltext-Ergebnisse aus den Suchresultaten der bibliographischen Ovid Datenbank heraus. Administratoren können dank eines integrierten Werkzeugs problemlos Journal-Listen aus einem Opac oder anderen Serials-Datenbanken importieren. Das Administrationswerkzeug ist einfach zu handhaben und erlaubt den direkten Zugriff von der OvidWeb-Gateway-Benutzeroberfläche aus. Inhalte lassen sich direkt mit den Angaben verlinken, die in Journals@Ovid zitiert sind.
