Abstract

Das Interesse an Konzepten und Instrumenten des Wissensmanagements wächst. Die Steuerung der Ressource Wissen ist sowohl zu einem prominenten Thema wissenschaftlicher Arbeiten als auch unternehmerischer Strategien geworden. Forschungsinstitute und Universitäten wenden sich, nicht zuletzt in Anbetracht einer steigenden Nachfrage insbesondere von Unternehmen und unterstützt durch öffentliche Fördermittel, mittlerweile sehr intensiv der Erarbeitung von Maßnahmen des Wissensmanagements zu. Die Unternehmen selbst gehen dazu über, ihren Umgang mit Wissen zu systematisieren. Deutliche Hinweise liefern hierfür die hohen Investitionen in die Schaffung entsprechender IuKInfrastrukturen sowie das wachsende Angebot an Konferenzen, Praktikerworkshops und gezielten Qualifizierungsmaßnahmen, die zur Vermittlung der Idee des Wissensmanagements beitragen sollen. Zum einen arbeiten viele Unternehmen beispielsweise sehr intensiv an der Entwicklung und Implementierung unterschiedlichster datenbasierter Systeme, die im Kern zu einem verbesserten Informationsfluss und damit zu einer erleichterten Koordination und Kooperation der Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter führen sollen. Zum anderen werden solche Innovationen flankiert durch Versuche zur Schaffung lernfreundlicher Unternehmenskulturen und 'communities of practice', mit deren Hilfe der Transfer von Wissen ermöglicht werden soll.
