Abstract
Mit dem Projekt "Imagekatalog der UB Innsbruck" wurde die in ALO (Austrian Literature Online) entwickelte Technologie auf die Digitalisierung und Online-Verfügbarmachung von Altbestandskatalogen übertragen. Wir haben uns dabei die Erfahrungen diverser Vorgängerprojekte zunutze gemacht und bieten eine umfassende Lösung an: - Blättern im Katalog Die elektronische Präsentation des Katalogs ist der tatsächlichen Benutzung nachgebildet und macht sich die implizite (alphabetische) Ordnung zu nutze. Das reine Blättern im Katalog wurde virtuos in Szene gesetzt durch Wilhelm Dikovich und dem für die Österreichische Nationalbibliothek entwickelten KatZoom (http: ~/katzoom.onb.ac.at/katzoom/). - Ordnungswortsuche Viele Vorgängerprojekte haben in bestimmten Abständen (z.B. jedes 40. oder 50. Kärtchen) die Ordnungswörter der Kärtchen genau erfasst. Damit erhält der Benutzer bei seiner Suchabfrage einen klar definierten Einstiegspunkt in den Katalog. Im Fall der UB Innsbruck sind dies rund 20.000 Einstiegspunkte in den Katalog. - Volltextsuche Die Firma EuroSpider der ETH Zürich hat diese Lösung bereits Mitte der 90er Jahre verwirklicht. Der unkorrigierte Volltext verbirgt sich hinter den Images der Karteikarten. Gleichzeitig zur Ordnungswortsuche wird auch der komplette - allerdings unkorrigierte - Volltext der Karteikarten indiziert und durchsucht.
