Abstract

"Die Auflage neuer französischer, britischer und koreanischer Patentdatenbanken hat STN International für 2004 angekündigt. FRANCEPAT bringt als Referenzdatenbank Zusammenfassungen von Schutzrechtsbegehren und Patenten, die das französischen Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle (INPI) seit 1966 veröffentlicht hat. Mit FRFULL und GBFULL kommen französische und britische Schutzrechtsdokumente im Volltext neu auf STN. In einer weiteren Datenbank werden Schutzrechtsbegehren für den aufstrebenden Inlandsmarkt von Korea veröffentlicht. Sie wird in englischer Sprache als Referenzdatenbank aufgebaut und für Ende des ersten Quartals 2004 erwartet. Derwent legt die Patentdaten, die seit vielen Jahren für die wichtige und viel genutzte Datenbank "World Patents Index" (WPINDEX) intellektuell aufbereitet werden, künftig auch als hoch aktuelle Datenbank "WPI First View" bei STN auf. Die Schutzrechtsinformationen aus den 16 wichtigsten Industrienationen der Welt sowie aus weiteren Ländern werden ohne tiefere Bearbeitung publiziert, kommen dafür aber innerhalb kürzester Zeit nach der Veröffentlichung durch die jeweilige Patentbehörde auf STN. Eine regelmäßige Recherche soll vor allem die strategische Beobachtung des internationalen Marktes unterstützen. Auf STN International sind derzeit rund 220 wissenschaftliche und technische Datenbanken online bereitgestellt, davon sind 3o reine Patentdatenbanken. Zahlreiche weitere Fachdatenbanken, zum Beispiel zur Chemie und Biotechnologie, enthalten fachspezifische Schutzrechtsinformationen. Die Lieferung vollständiger Patentdokumente (Volltexte) ist über die STN Full Text Solution organisiert. Sofern die Dokumente von einem Volltextlieferanten digital angeboten werden, können sie direkt abgerufen oder online beim Lieferdienst FIZ AutoDoc bestellt werden.
