Abstract
Montage-, Bedienungs- und Wartungsanleitungen für Geräte, Apparate, Maschinen usw. - kurz "technische Anleitungen" - zieht eine Person normalerweise in Situationen heran, in denen sie Verrichtungen auszuführen hat, ohne über alle einschlägigen Fähigkeiten für diese Verrichtungen zu verfügen. Insofern sind diese Situationen nicht nur Handlungs-, sondern auch Übungssituationen, und als Übungssituationen sind sie wiederum Lernsituationen. Technische Anleitungen enthalten normalerweise sowohl textliche (sprachliche) als auch bildliche (grafische) Komponenten. Die bildlichen Komponenten sind häufig ihrerseits mit (meist rudimentären) textlichen Komponenten versehen. Anleitungen dieser Art werden standardmäßig angesichts der Geräte genutzt, auf die sie sich beziehen. Insofern sind bei ihrer Nutzung gleichzeitig Wahrnehmungen von Gegenständen, von Texten und von Bildern zu verarbeiten. In diesem Beitrag soll erörtert und an Beispielen gezeigt werden, ob und wie in einer derartigen hybriden Rezeptionssituation zusammenhängendes Handlungswissen gewonnen und angewandt werden kann. In der Argumentation kommen auch der Lehrfilm und computergestützte Anweisungen zur Geltung. Als Beispiele werden Montageanleitungen herangezogen, die aus einem elektronisch verfügbaren Computerhandbuch stammen. Die theoretische Basis des Beitrags ist eine semiotische.
