Abstract
Postmoderne Kunstbewegungen wie die Digitalkunst zielen weniger darauf ab, ihre Kunst in Museen zu präsentieren, als vielmehr die Kunst ins alltägliche Leben und in die alltäglich verwendeten Kommunikationsund Informationsmedien übergehen zu lassen. Ihre Motivationen liegen darin, neue Lebenspraktiken, Wahrnehmungsmuster, Kunstfelder und soziale Verhältnisse zu begründen. Sowohl die philosophischen als auch die künstlerischen Werke der Postmoderne haben ihren Ausgangspunkt in den historischen Avantgarde-Bewegungen der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Bei diesen finden sich nicht nur die postmodernen Bedeutungsverschiebungen, sondern auch die für die Postmoderne typischen Versuche etwa Literatur und Philosophie, »hohe« und »niedrige/populäre« Kunst oder allgemein: Kunst und Lebenspraxis wieder zu verbinden. Ein Ziel der AvantgardeBewegungen war es, eine veränderte Einstellung zur Kunst zu forcieren, den autonomen Status von Kunst zu durchbrechen und die Lebenspraxis insgesamt radikal zu verändern. Auch aktuelle Kunstprojekte der postmodernen Wissensgesellschaft versuchen, die Sphären zwischen Kunst, Kultur und Politik zu verbinden und anhand zeitgenössischer Medienund Kommunikationstechnologien neu zu gestalten. Wo sind die Verbindungslinien zwischen postmoderner Kunst und Avantgarde zu ziehen und was bedeutet diese Verbindung für die Kunstlandschaft in Zeiten der »Google-Gesellschaft«?
