Abstract

Adieu ASB und KAB? Seit Jahren schon versuchen immer mehr Bibliotheken eine Aufstellungs- und Präsentationsform ihrer Medien zu finden, die den Interessen ihrer Benutzer gerecht wird. Zahlreiche erste Schritte zum Übergang zu einer Aufstellung nach Themen oder Interessenkreisen wurden in den Bestandssegmenten Belletristik und Kinder- und Jugendliteratur unternommen. In letzter Zeit wagen dennoch mehr Bibliotheken auch die Umstellung im Bereich der Sachliteratur. Das Verlassen der systematischen Erschließung in der Aufstellung bereitet der bibliothekarischen Fachwelt einige Bedenken, heißt es doch, auf die lieb gewordene Klassifikation zu verzichten. Themenpools in Solingen Um den Kolleg(inn)en Hilfestellung bei den ersten Schritten zu dieser wagemutigen, jedoch sehr benutzerbeliebten Maßnahme zu geben, wurden die vier Veranstaltungen in das Fortbildungsangebot der 01T-Kommission aufgenommen. Gleichzeitig wurde und wird damit das Ziel verfolgt, die Kommissionsarbeit auch Öffentlichen Bibliotheken nahe zu bringen. In der Stadtbibliothek Solingen, wo Mitte Mai der erste Workshop stattfand, konnten sich die Teilnehmer/innen vor Ort von einer themenorientierten Aufstellung überzeugen. Die Bibliotheksleiterin Claudia Elsner-Overberg wies in einer umfangreichen Bibliotheksführung sehr kompetent auf die Realisierung einer themenorientierten Aufstellung hin. Nicht nur die Bestände der Kinder- und Jugendbibliothek werden nach Interessenkreisen präsentiert, sondern auch der gesamte Bestand an Sachmedien. Der Aufstellung der Sachmedien liegen 14 Themenpools zugrunde. Der hohe Umsatzfaktor und die große Benutzerfrequenz sprechen für den Erfolg. In der Stadtbibliothek Bonn konnten sich einen Tag darauf die Besucher des Alternativtermins ebenso von einer themenbezogenen Medienpräsentation überzeugen, die von der Leiterin der Bonner Zentralbibliothek Verena Reuter in einer Bibliotheksführung vorgestellt wurde. Auch hier würde man das Bestandskonzept der Dreigeteilten Bibliothek sehr gerne erweitern. Doch setzt der Bibliotheksbau der Realisierung einer umfangreichen Themenaufstellung Grenzen.
