Abstract

AI@din, das Informationssystem der niederländischen Bibliotheken, sorgt dafür, dass Wissbegierige auf - fast -alle Fragen eine Antwort bekommen. Landesweite Werbekampagnen, auch im Fernsehen, haben das Angebot, rasch bekanntgemacht. AI@din ist ein Erfolg - trotzdem haben die niederländischen Kollegen ein Problem: Der elektronische Informationsservice wird von den allermeisten Benutzern nicht mit der Bibliothek in Verbindung gebracht. Günter Brandorff, der seit langem in den Niederlanden lebt, beschreibt die wichtigsten Aspekte des vorbildlichen Informationssystems im Nachbarland.
