Abstract
A critical problem facing technical services librarians is the lack of an appropriate method by which to train their nonprofessional staff. This article deals with what is expected of Technical librarians; in addition, dispelling the myth of librarians as being only practitioners. It is the aim of this paper to promote research as part of continuing education for librarians.
