Abstract

Vom soziolinguistischen Ansatz her, führt dieses Buch in die Theorie und Praxis der Fachsprachen ein und stellt den modernen Forschungsstand dar. Funktionen, linguistische Merkmale und gesellschaftliche Relevanz spezialsprachlicher Kommunikationsformen werden an vielen Beispielen erläutert. Zentrale Aspekte der Fachsprachenforschung der 90er Jahre verbunden mit Perspektiven für die Zeit nach dem Jahr 2000 werden in einem zusätzlichen Kapitel behandelt. Die Bibliographie enthält die wichtige deutsche, französische und englischsprachige Literatur zum Thema.Ein Gesamtregister ist eingearbeitet.
