Abstract

Briefly describes the developments in computer applications to create catalogues of information source materials in the Sri Ramakrishna Math (RM) Libraries in Bangalore and Mysore and the association of Prof. A. Neelameghan in these endeavours. Presents as a background the objectives of the RM and the means of dissemination of the Maths' philosophy, the related value systems, the studies and researches thereof and the discourses of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Holy Mother Sarada Devi and their followers, worldwide. In recent years RMs have taken advantage of developments in computer and communication technologies to create websites and CDs further facilitating the dissemination of information locally and globally. The creation of databases of RMs' library resources is perceived as an important information support to learning, studies, and research.
