Abstract

Der Fachinformationsverbund IBLK (FIV) wird als kooperativer Produzent eines Portalangebotes vorgestellt. Nach einer kurzen Einführung zur Entstehung und Zielsetzung des FIV werden die Partner des FIV, nämlich deutsche und europäische Spezialbibliotheken und Fachinformationseinrichtungen, kurz in ihrer Struktur und Funktion im Kontext der jeweiligen Institution, bei der sie angesiedelt sind, beschrieben. Die Kooperationseffekte und Kooperationsnotwendigkeiten im FIV werden herausgearbeitet und gezeigt, dass gleichzeitig aber externe Kooperationen möglich bleiben und realisiert werden. Das gemeinsame neue Produkt, das Fachportal IBLK, wird kurz in seiner Struktur vorgestellt. Ausgehend vom zentralen Element, der Datenbank World Affairs Online (WAO), wird der Ausbau um weitere nationale, europäische und internationale Datenbanken und Angebote beschrieben. Dabei spielt der fachliche Kontext eine große Rolle und stellt das wesentliche Element der Attraktivität für weitere Anbieter von Datenbanken dar. Auch das weiter gefasste, relativ lose europäische Kooperationsnetzwerk EINIRAS wird zur Integration weiterer Angebote genutzt. Das Fachportal IBLK wird auch als Element von vascoda betrachtet. Das Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Fachportal und übergreifendem nationalem Portal wird diskutiert. Vascoda wird als Dienstleister für technische und organisatorische Funktionalitäten und als Kooperationsraum verschiedener Anbieter thematisiert. Die zentrale vascodaIdee des integrierten fachbezogenen Angebots von Inhalten aus den verschiedensten Quellen oder Ausschnitten von Quellen in einem Fachportal wird beim Fachportal IBLK realisiert. Zentrale Erfolgskriterien der Kooperation im FIV sind die fachliche Zuspitzung und die Balance zwischen Aufwand und Ertrag aus der Perspektive der einzelnen Partner.
