Abstract
Die Forschungszweige Informations- und Wissensmanagement stellen Leitfäden für einen bestmöglichen unternehmenszielorientierten Einsatz der Ressource Information und vorhandener Wissenspotentiale bereit. Die Ansätze hierzu gehen allerdings kaum über qualitative Aussagen hinaus. Vom Anspruch geleitet, auch quantitative Aussagen beim Einsatz von Information und Wissen treffen zu wollen, ist es nur allzu natürlich, sich der Theorie Shannon'scher Prägung erneut zu besinnen und zu überprüfen, in welcher Form sich informationstheoretische Aussagen auch auf betriebswirtschaftliche übertragen lassen. Insbesondere wird gezeigt, wie Information als externer Faktor im Rahmen eines (Dienst-)Leistungsprozesses identifiziert und quantifiziert werden kann. Illustriert wird die Vorgehensweise an Modellen und dem Einsatz eines probabilistischen Expertensystems.
