Abstract
EZProxy ermöglicht Benutzern den externen Zugriff auf von Bibliotheken angebotene Web-Inhalte. Es handelt sich dabei um eine Software, die Bibliotheksbenutzer anhand lokaler Authentifizierungssysteme erkennt und ihnen unter Berücksichtigung des Benutzerprofils den externen Zugriff auf lizenzierte Inhalte ermöglicht. Mehr als 2 500 Institutionen in über 60 Ländern arbeiten bereits mit EZProxy - unter anderem die Stadt- und Landesbibliothek Dortmund. Die guten Erfahrungen dort fasst im Folgenden Hans-Christian Wirtz zusammen.
