Abstract
Bereits im Dezember 2006 wurde die Web-Suchmaschine von Wikipedia, damals noch unter dem Arbeitstitel "Wikiasari", angekündigt und wurde von der Fachwelt zwischenzeitlich als größte Sensation gehandelt. Im April 2007 bezeichnete das amerikanische Magazin "Fast Company" die neue Suchmaschine gar als "Google's" schlimmsten Albtraum. Doch erst am 7. Januar 2008 wurde die Alpha-Version für die Öffentlichkeit freigegeben.
