Abstract

Im Rahmen der Gestaltung eines zentralisierten Begriffspools Wortnetz Kultur für ein geplantes webbasiertes Kulturportal des Landschaftsverbandes Rheinland wurde ein State of the Art Report über nationale und internationale Ansätze zu Wissensorganisationssystemen im Bereich Archäologie und Kulturerbe erstellt. Evaluiert wurden verfügbare Standards und Vokabulare sowie Webprojekte mit kulturhistorischen Informationsinhalten. Der vorliegende Artikel beschreibt die zentralen Ergebnisse des Reports. Es werden eine Auswahl relevanter Standards und frei verfügbarer Vokabulare benannt und besonders überzeugende Webprojekte vorgestellt. Zudem werden der aktuelle Entwicklungsstand von Vokabularen, Standards und Webprojekten auf dem betrachteten Gebiet interpretiert und hilfreiche Reeherchestartpunkte sowie relevante aktive Organisationen nachgewiesen.
