Abstract

Das "Kommunikations- und Informationssystem Berufliche Bildung" (KIBB) hat zum Ziel, Wissensmanagement innerhalb der Berufsbildungsforschung zu etablieren. Dabei bedient sich KIBB verschiedener Instrumente und Methoden. Der Beitrag stellt zunächst KIBB in seinem gesamten Leistungsspektrum vor und geht dann detailliert auf ein Instrument, nämlich die "Vernetzung von Fachdatenbanken", ein. Besonderes Augenmerk wird dabei auf die unterschiedlich eingesetzten Methoden zur Vernetzung gelegt. Dazu gehören klassische Methoden wie die Suche, aber auch teilautomatisierte Verfahren, die den Nutzerinnen und Nutzern passende Informationen direkt anbieten. Abschließend werden die unterschiedlichen Methoden kritisch beleuchtet. Dabei werden auch europäische Ansätze vergleichend mit einbezogen und ein Ausblick auf mögliche weitere Entwicklungen von KIBB gegeben.
