Abstract

In den kommenden Jahren wird das von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft seit mehr als 6o Jahren unterstützte System der Sondersammelgebiete an wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken in Deutschland grundlegend umstrukturiert, und die Förderung wird neu ausgerichtet. Leitprinzip des umstrukturierten Systems ist künftig eine aktive Gestaltung der Informationsversorgung durch Dienstleistungsangebote, die den spezifischen Interessen der Fächer gerecht werden und deshalb keinen systemweit einheitlichen Vorgaben unterliegen. Zur Schaffung geeigneter Voraussetzungen werden sowohl auf inhaltlicher als auch formaler Ebene flexiblere Förderstrukturen geschaffen. Die Entscheidung zur Umstrukturierung geht auf die Ergebnisse der Evaluierung der Förderung zurück, die 2010-2011 durchgeführt wurde. Der Beitrag fasst die Evaluierungsergebnisse zusammen und erläutert die Hintergründe und Grundzüge der neu ausgerichteten Förderung.
