Abstract

Wie kann auch eine große Anzahl möglicherweise umfangreicher Musiknachlässe zügig sichtbar und benutzbar gemacht werden, wenn gleichzeitig das Personal knapp ist? Die Regeln zur Erschließung von Nachlässen und Autographen (RNA) geben den Standard vor, lassen dabei jedoch durchaus Spielraum für eine an die (personellen) Kapazitäten angepasste, abgestufte Erschließungstiefe. Empirische Studien haben gezeigt, dass sich Benutzende nicht etwa eine möglichst detaillierte Erschließung, sondern vielmehr Übersichtlichkeit, variable Suchmöglichkeiten und rasche Zugänglichkeit wünschen. Entscheidend ist dabei die Zugänglichkeit im Internet. Einschlägige Onlinedatenbank für Nachlässe deutschsprachiger Bibliotheken ist Kalliope, für Musikhandschriften der RISM-OPAC. Musiknachlässe enthalten neben den für Kalliope typischen textuellen Materialien vor allem Notenmaterial, dessen Erschließung besondere Anforderungen stellt. Für eine abgestufte Erschließung von Musiknachlässen sind deshalb beide Nachweisinstrumente zu nutzen. Der Beitrag beschreibt einerseits sehr praxisnah Möglichkeiten, durch Inventarlisten erschlossene Musiknachlässe online sichtbar zu machen, andererseits wendet er Jutta Webers Stufenmodell der Nachlasserschließung auf musikalische Nachlässe an. Dabei werden auch Ideen für die Kooperation mit Schulen und Hochschulen entwickelt. Den Abschluss bildet die Vision vom "Nachlass 2.0", der von der - spielerisch motivierten - "crowd" der Amateur- und Profimusiker(innen) (mit-)erschlossen wird.
