Abstract

Zu "Bots" wird viel geforscht und geschrieben, meist jedoch in sehr kleinteiliger Form, die die größeren Kontexte außer Acht lässt, in denen sich diese selbsttätigen Programme bewegen. Auch Typologien finden sich kaum - wenn doch, dann stammen sie eher von Bot-Enthusiast_innen. Eine umfassende Ontologie zum Thema Bots leistet auch dieser Beitrag nicht, er versucht aber, durch Kritik an bestehenden Bot-Ontologien ein Kriterium zu entwickeln, mit dem sie bewertet werden können. Dieses Kriterium ist die Empfehlung, alle Bot-Ontologien zu ignorieren, die Bots nicht mit Big Data oder KI-Systemen in Verbindung bringen.
