Abstract

The Global Youth Communications Network offers a challenging and safe place for children around the world to meet from libraries, schools, youth groups and homes. The Kidlink Society represents a team of professionals working in over 40 countries supporting children in the use of information and technology and communication technology. The project encompasses: electronic mail; packet radio; video conferencing; facsimile transmission; and Internet Realtime Chat (IRT). The network is both an information resource and a learning enviroment where children can communicate and is above all a safe place to be
