Abstract

Argues the need to provide additional access points in the cataloguing of popular culture materials in libraries which treat such collections as special collections. Provides a list of 8 general principles to apply in enhancing access to such materials through the catalogue (by increasing the number of appropriate headings), and illustrates how these principles might be implemented in two areas: motion pictures, radio and television and popular music
