Abstract

Adding databases, produced by external, commercial databases producers, to online catalogues dramatically increases the amount of information easily available to users. However, the existing level of undergraduate user skills and the amount of information available in locally loaded databases creates new challenges in user training. Locally loaded databases challenge user training librarians to identify and teach effective strategies for an environment that includes too much information
